What took me so long to get this up?

Many of you have asked me, “Sara, what has taken so long to get this blog up?” Only thing I can tell you is pure laziness. That’s right. There isn’t a deeper or more profound meaning than that. Those of you who know me, know that I take forever when it comes to my own sites and applications. I’ll make a short story long for those of you that are interested.

I bought this domain about 2.5 years ago, with the intent on making it a SIG. I had all of these grand ideas (don’t we all?). There was a time it was going to be for Java developers. Then I fell in love (and am still having a torrid affair with) .NET. and was going to develop it for .NET lovers. Then I thought, “why can’t we all be friends?” and considered making it for all developers. Anyway, I’m rambling. My point is I never did anything with it.

In the meantime I started working on a .NET application that includes blogs; my goal was that I would finish the blogging module and then take that and use it for my own blog at ilovecode.com. Well, it never happened. Been too busy with work and too lazy with personal projects that it didn’t get done.

So, this past weekend, I decided to move ilovecode from my windows server to unix and throw up wordpress. Then, I bought ilovecode.net for my future .net endeavours (maybe i’ll do something with it 2.5 years down the road).

That’s it really. The end. Yes, my blog is finally up and I hope to become a regular blogger; I always enjoy getting my thoughts down on paper.

Thanks for listening!

The site sucks. The author sucks. The green sucks. The blue sucks.

But at least you switched to Unix. :D

I
don’t know that I’ve ever had my portfolio up without some kind of,
“I’m too lazy, I’ll put up the next section soon” message. I think I
have 1/3 of it up now. I really need to finish it, but I think I’ll
wait a few more months. :p
