think of myself as more of a dork than anything else, but geek will do
from the woman I guess. I will say that I am just glad she’ll take me
the way I am. I am very lucky to have my nerdy girl, although I worry
she is too smart for me at times. Still, I’m pretty lucky.

well,
from what I’ve seen & experienced, only geeks can understand
geeks!! If you are some internet geek & you happen to have a
beautiful blonde girlfriend who happens to be in marketing or
something, well….. you can’t imagine, won’t last long, I’ve seen it
happen!! (this is obviously not anything against blondes)

then there’s the saying
“birds of a feather flock together”

so
yes, while you may have some exceptions, like a C++ geek & a
super-model chilling out together, its just not what happens normally!!

my
friend, who happens to be a VC++ geek, he broke up with his girlfriend
as she couldn’t bear a tech geek when she barely knows how to check her
email!! otherwise she was quite a nice girl!! but then I wouldn’t say
my friend as a “poor soul”, its better to be single than with someone
who doesn’t enjoy your company!!

I
know everyones been praising geeks and nerds and dorks but there are
sometimes you think to yourself that being a geek/nerd/dork aren’t as
good as you think so, let me explain.

When you (man/woman) are
a geek people assume you know EVERYTHING about computers, internet,
email etc…. so when a close friends/family computer breaks down and you
do all you can to fix it but as we humans can only hold so much
information, we cant fix it, they scoff their noses up at us and make
it out to be OUR fault that the computer cant be fixed and then try to
make rude gestures that “you’re not a computer genius” etc …. well damn
people, thats like saying because you can drive a car you can enter the
le mans 24 hour race, its not gonna happen.

So sometimes its
not always good to be declared as a geek, best be a geek without people
knowing cos then they’ll take advantage of your exceptional skills, no
matter what they are.

But back to the point, Geeks are cool
people, they should be offered lifts to and from work and be bought a
pint at a local pub every friday. We’re all nice people and sometimes
we just can’t understand how people can live without an email address )

I just put that on my voicemail and somehow, my calls have declined.
