What do I want for Christmas?

Archived in the category: Useless Info

My family has asked me to make a xmas list and this year I think I can come up with a lot of things. Before moving to Belgium, I used to buy something if I wanted it and didn’t really have to think twice about it. This was when I had a full-time job :D. Now that I completely work for myself and the fact that my husband and I are both paid in dollars and the $ really sucks in europe right now, we are living on a budget and I don’t buy myself toys anymore.

Well Christmas is coming and my parents and family want to know the kinds of things I want. Since I’ve gone a year without buying things, surely I can come up with quite a list. I need help though! I don’t like to tease myself so I have avoided looking at all of the cool gadgets that have come out over the last year so I’m not even sure what is out there .

Please make suggestions to me and don’t worry about the price tag; I want to know what’s new out there regardless of price! Something I know I’m not interested in is the iPhone. I’ve used my $30 phone here in belgium for less than 200 minutes in the past 15 months so an iPhone would really be overkill :D

How about http://www.behance.com/Outfitter ?

Would be useful work wise but not much on the gadget side I’m afraid.

Awesome suggestion Dave, that is awesome. This is actually very much up my alley. Aside from the fact that im always trying to get organized, I LOVE notebooks and office supplies in general. If Drew ever gets in trouble with me, he brings me home a funky notebook or a neat pen and all is well :)

My first suggestion would be a digital camera to take and keep pictures of everyone and everything in your life… and to show us all a bit more of Belgium! Since you probably have one of those why not ask for lessons of some sort, scuba diving lessons maybe? Life is all about having the most experiences possible while we can isn’t it?

@Seo Vibe - Thanks for the suggestion. I do have a camera and LOVE to take pictures actually! You can see some of the pictures I have taken on my family blog and will be taking some more this weekend.

I like the idea of lessons and I actually considered continuing my flying lessons here (a personal goal of mine) but the problem with lessons here is I don’t speak the native language well enough so lessons will have to wait until I am back in the states.
