As some of you know, I have been blogging over at Search-This.com about industry related topics (which explains my lack of them here). We have been planning a series of podcasts with web personalities and we have finally started publishing them. The goal of the podcast is to ask just a few industry-related questions to the guest and also throw in some random get-to-know you questions to get a feel for their personality. We want to have one published every 2 weeks if possible. A lot of podcasts are pretty dry and very long so we hope to keep this down to around 20 minutes or so if we can help it. We want you to be able to listen to it in the time it takes you to read your email and go through your morning news.
We released the first interview with Rand Fishkin of SEOMoz.org and for the most part I think it went well. I like the questions I asked and I think Rand gave some great answers. Being that this was the first podcast I did, I don’t particularly care for my sound (someone told me I was robotic in the beginning–and I have to agree), but all in all I think it was a success!
We have some great interviews lined up so if this is your kind of thing, you can look forward to the next one on May 14! If you have any comments or criticisms, let me know!

I’m finally going to devote some time to upgrade this plugin. There are several things I would like to add to it. My first objective will be to get it work in 2.1.x. I just upgraded one of my blogs to the latest version of WP and installed it and didn’t have any issues. So, I don’t know if the release of 2.1.3 fixed the issues people were having in 2.1.0 and 2.1.1. I’ll have to test it out a little bit more.
I’ve had over 1800 downloads of the plugin so it seems that people are enjoying it which is great. Now, I’d like to get your feedback on anything you would like to see added, or just made better.

Ok, I’ve seen the may1reboot.com and I figured that would be a good goal for me to put a new look and feel on ilovecode. I’ve been wanting to for a while, but just haven’t had a vision for what it would look like. I’ve got some ideas going round in my head now and would like to start working on it, I just need to start putting them down on paper. It will definitely be a lot different than this version. I figured if there was a reboot, then that would be a good goal to shoot for. Does anyone know if its happening? The site looks pretty dead.
I’ve been swamped with work lately which is great but it has prevented me from keeping up with my blog readings so if I haven’t commented in a while.. my humblest apologies
. I opened Google Reader this morning to see my list of blogs that I haven’t read and my jaw dropped. At this point I’m scared to start as it will take my a full day to read them. and if I skip them maybe i will miss something really cool or hurt a friends feelings. So, my choices are:
a. mark them all as read and start over
b. take 20 hours and read through them all
c. read only my friends
d. enter your option here
I don’t want to open my reader again as it will frighten me into a state of paralysis. What do you do when you are faced with this awful dilemma
This doesn’t usually go over to well with the family when the kids are all ready to leave the house and I’m the one holding us up. I’m somewhat of an addict I admit. I do this with forums I’m reading too; I’m sick.. I know
. I thought this comic was great!
